Happy Birthday!
Grant is now THREE years old! By request we made a baseball birthday cake. I tried to get a picture of him holding up 3 fingers by the cake, but his fingers "slipped" into the icing. So, I ended up with a picture of him licking his three frosting covered fingers.

We love you Grant! Thanks for always making us smile.

Happy Halloween
We had a great Halloween! The kids were excited to wear their costumes Thursday for our ward Trunk-or-Treat, Friday at school for the parade and parties and Saturday for Trick or Treating
Of course Grant wanted to be a baseball player.
Sierra dressed as a cowgirl and Trent was her little pony.

Dallin was excited to wear all of the cool motocross gear given to him by his cousin Carson.
SNOW!!
My crazy kids running around in the front yard last week as we welcomed the season's first snow fall. I think we were the only ones in Utah excited to see the snow so early. It didn't stick, though. Today we wore short sleeves outside.

Blessing Day
On Sunday we celebrated Trent's blessing day with Friends and family. Scott gave a beautiful blessing to our fussy baby boy :). Ironically, it was in the same chapel that Scott's father blessed him in 30 years ago! Thanks to all those who helped make it such a special day.

This picture depicts the craziness of the day. Unfortunately, it is the best picture we have of all 6 of us! Dallin is turned sideways, Grant is half asleep and we're all looking at different cameras, but we're a happy family!

Proud Mommy and Daddy with a fussy little one.

Tummy time is happy time. . .

Wait for it. . .

Smiley Boy!
Here's Trent hanging out after his 2 month check up. I had to take a picture because he's getting SO BIG!! 13 lbs 7oz (that's 90th percentile!) and 24 inches (85th percentile)! I shouldn't be too surprised since he started wearing 3-6 month onesies by the time he was a month old.

Happy Birthday Dallin!
Yesterday, our little boy turned SEVEN! Where does time go? He began his day with a visit from the tooth fairy. Last year on his birthday he lost his first tooth. This year he lost his 5th. Grant, Trent and I visited Dallin's school and brought birthday cupcakes to celebrate his special day with his class. Scott made the birthday dinner-- a "breakfast dinner" by request from the birthday boy--- YUMMY! Afterwards we had presents, cake and ice cream. It was a great day!
Scott surprised Dallin with an awesome NEW BIKE! After cake and ice cream, they went to the nearby sports park to test it out. When they came home Dallin showed off by riding up and down the street (with Sierra and Grant following behind on the sidewalk on their bikes)
Make a wish! Happy 7th Birthday, Dallin! We love you!

Exhale. . .
whew!! It has been a BUSY month! Here's a quick recap of what we've been up to:
July 30th--Scott recieved a job offer
July 31st-- we accepted the offer
Over the month of August we:
-Welcomed a new baby into our family
-rented our Fort Worth house out (truly a blessing! Thank you Quinns!)
-found a new house in Utah
-packed up and moved out of state
-Scott started a new job
-moved into our new home
-kids started school
etc. . .
We are glad that the month of September is here as we can finally breathe again after a month of pure craziness! We are loving it here in Utah (but miss our Texas friends and family!) and are excited for many new adventures here.
Here are a few pictures of the past month:
Moving Day! Utah here we come!

Grant packing a lunch for himself and Sierra. I helped him make PB&J's but to our surprise when it was lunch time we found that he also included some hotdogs (no packaging-- just put in the lunch box raw) and a bunch of strawberries. What a good helper!

Trent on his One Month birthday-- I can't believe he's already a month old!

Trent relaxing in the beanbag. Look at how big he's getting!

Dallin and Grant followed their older cousin, Carson, around with wide eyes when we got together on Labor Day. Here they are watching in awe as Carson rides his bike off a ramp.

Grant sporting his new helmet and goggles (THANKS UNCLE DOUG!!!). He wore the helmet all day Tuesday around the house

All our children have received a special blanket from their Great Grandma Rice. She passed away just before Grant was born but not before finishing his blanket. We were a little sad that Trent would not have a special Grandma Rice blanket. In true Grandma Rice fashion (Silky border and soft underside) Trent's Aunt Kim came to the rescue making a very special blanket just like Grandma Rice.

Recital
Yesterday was Sierra's final dance class. Family and friends were invited in the last 10 minutes of class for a mini "recital" to finish out the summer session of dance. I began taking pictures, but soon realized a video would be better, so in the video you miss the first couple seconds of the dance.
PS. The class was a combined Ballet and Tap class, but their performance is just tap. Watching them do ballet is equally as adorable. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Sierra!
Sierra turned 5 yesterday! Her special day started with breakfast-- pancakes topped with powdered sugar and fresh strawberries, then, off to the pediatrician for her annual checkup-- she's a tall, skinny, healthy little girl-- just as we expected. Next we went to the 99 cents store and loaded up on pink fairy princess birthday decor. When we arrived home, a birthday package was waiting from Grandpa with the perfect shirt for our birthday girl (pink with rainbows and hearts!) Sierra changed immediately into the shirt which she called "my most favoritest shirt ever!" We decorated the house, had a Birthday dinner as a family and then enjoyed cake, ice cream and presents with our friends the Daltons and Grandma Sue and Papa Mike. Sierra had a wonderful birthday! Thanks for all the birthday wishes and phone calls. She truly felt like a princess!
Opening presents. . .

"Thank you, Grant! I love my present!"
The kids swarmed around Scott as he opened the packaging of one of the presents.
