FUN IN THE SUN

While many of you have been battling a LONG, COLD winter, we have been trying to get used to the crazy weather here in Texas. Last week, it was in the 80's (IN FEBRUARY!!!!). The kids pleaded with me to let them get in their swimsuits and run through the sprinkler. While it seemed like a strange thing to do in the middle of winter, it was 80 degrees, and the kids had a lot of fun. So here are some pictures. Hopefully they will provide some warmth to those of you in parts of the country still covered with snow.

I'm not sure what Dallin is doing in this picture, but it appears that he is using his incredible strength to stop the water from coming any further and getting him wet.

Seeing the kids play in the sprinkler brought back so many memories of summer time as a chlid--- but wait, it's only February!

Dallin "encouraging" Grant-- as most big brothers do.

I just thought this looked cool with the water spraying everywhere.

Grant finally worked up the courage to join in on the fun.

Popsicles on a nice sunny day. What could be better?

Question:

Why is it that we spent so much money, time and effort laying sod in our backyard so the kids would have some nice grass to play on, yet they still prefer to play in the third of our yard that is just dirt?

Working Out

Grant is a BIG helper. . . well, at least he thinks he is. He especially enjoys helping daddy do push-ups and sit ups. Unless he is asleep, it is pretty much impossible to work out without Grant "helping" by adding some unsolicited resistance to your exercise.

Going to Work

One morning as Scott was heading out the door, Grant went running past him heading straight for his bedroom. When he came out he had his "brief case" in hand (really a toy tool box) ready to go to work with Daddy. Grant was pretty upset when he realized he wasn't going too.
