Ballerina Birthday

Sierra was VERY excited to go to friends' Tara and Savannah's Birthday party on Saturday. She was even MORE excited that she got to dress up like a ballerina to go! It was an ADORABLE party (great job Suzanne and Amanda!!!). They read "The Nutcracker", danced along with the Nutcracker DVD. Made magic wands just like the sugar plum fairies (and even tested them out on Tara's Daddy!), played pin-the-tutu-on-the-ballerina and of course had cake, ice cream and presents! Each ballerina got to take home a small nutcracker ornament that is now hanging on our Christmas tree.

Happy Holidays!

We went to Dallin's Kindergarten class' holiday party on Friday-- it was a lot of fun, and the kids were all really cute. They wore reindeer antlers and a red dot on their noses as they made crafts, read stories and of course ate yummy store bought goodies (what ever happened to making homemade goodies anyway?)

Dallin's Kindergarten teacher (he may have a little crush on her) will be moving this weekend. Friday was her last day, so I made it a point to get a picture of Dallin and Mrs. Sliva together. We will miss Mrs. Sliva, but his new teacher, Mrs. Harris, seems great too.

Meeting Santa
At our Ward Christmas party last Saturday, Santa came to visit. The kids were excited to meet him, but when the time came, none of them even spoke a word to him. At least they stood next to him this year without hesitation. I was shocked that Grant (who is VERY particular about people) was the most outgoing of the three-- he was all smiles!
Wow, Dallin looks so old standing next to Santa!

O Christmas Tree

On Saturday we went to the Farmer's Market to find the perfect Christmas tree. Picking out the Christmas tree is definitely one of our favorite Christmas traditions. There is something very charming about driving home in the car with the whole family listening to Christmas Carols with the tree strapped to the roof. If only it were snowing too. . .sigh.
